Today, I’m taking a little break from our usual, informative style of posts to have a bit of fun!

I always smile when I happen to overhear Pilates being mentioned in other people’s conversations. I love to hear people mention how tough it is, how great it is or how it’s benefited them.

I also have to admit that I secretly (well not so secretly any more) love hearing about how some celebrities swear by Pilates to maintain their figures.

So in the spirit of something a bit “lighter”, here are 4 celebrities who are great fans of Pilates and have bodies that show off their hard work:

Pilates Celeb 1: Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer works out 5-6 days a week!

She combines cardio, spinning, running, Yoga and Pilates.

“I’m a Pilates person. It’s great. I had chronic back pain, a pinched nerve and a hip problem and it’s completely solved all of it. I love it. It makes me feel like I’m taller”

 

Pilates Celeb 2: Cameron Diaz

Cameron credits her workout routine and diet for her amazing figure.

She maintains her fantastic body by combining Pilates, cardio, surfing and weight training. She makes sure she works out 5 times a week.

Exercise is a part of her life and you can see that the proof is in the pudding (or in this case the planks).

Kate is looking as gorgeous as ever and says she owes it to practising Pilates everyday!

“I’ve actually been this way since I had [son] Joe. I still don’t believe in this craziness for being skinny, but I eat sensibly and I don’t stuff down chocolate biscuits. I don’t go to the gym because I don’t have time but I do Pilates workout DVDs for 20 minutes or more every day at home.”

Sandra Bullock is one of those women who just get better with age. When ever I see her, she looks more gorgeous than the last time.

“I do a lot of Pilates, kick-boxing and weight training in Los Angeles, and when I’m in Austin I run or ride my bike, if I can work out every day, I will”

Clearly combining these methods of exercise is working well for Sandra!

The bottom line

As you can see by what these gorgeous ladies have said, they use Pilates as a part of their routines to keep them looking good and feeling great. Make no mistake, these celebs work really hard to look like this and that’s something really important to remember: they don’t maintain their bodies simply because of good genes. It takes commitment, dedication and motivation to achieve any serious goal but clearly, commitment can pay off!
